Who is your child's pediatrician and why do you like them?
We haven't established care with anyone since we moved here and we probably should get on that. I am looking for someone who won't give us a hard time about the way we parent

- Very good question, we love our pediatrician in Auburn, Dr. Richard Loomis...very understanding of all of our natural parenting choices and never one to "push" anything on us...but now that we are Nevada City residents...I suppose it wouldn't hurt to find someone closer!
- I have Medi-cal so we have to go to miners clinic. We saw the pediatricians at first, but then decided to see Dr. Heather Lucas Ross. She's not a pediatrician, but she's great! And easier to make appointments with than the peds.
- Our boys see Dr Joyce Bradshaw in Auburn, she is a Sutter provider but is amazing and so is her staff. She is always able to squeeze us in for urgent visits and very knowledgeable and I trust her recommendations. Also she is in the same office as Dr Loomis
- I have loved Dr. Reeder. Very gentle and supportive. Many of the pediatricians rotate through Miner's Clinic. It can be a good way to get to know them. Dr. Ross is great too.
- All the peds at miners are good but it can be difficult to see the doctor.
- you can check with the doctor's offices too. Dr. Reeder can see my son in his office if there is an emergency. But, I have to go through Miner's for his regular check ups. I have Medi-cal for my son
- I take my daughter to see Dr. Cris Jensen-Mather at miners. She is really sweet. I always make an appointment with her
- Chris is good, but heather Lucas Ross is fabulous!
- Chape de
- My son has seen both Dr Loomis and Dr Bradshaw in Auburn on Education (near Bell Rd). They are worth the drive. Very open, compassionate, and pro-parent choice.
- I love Sarah Woerner at the Miners Clinic but she is only there Thursdays since she is semi-retired. I have never felt judged and never been pressured by her and she is SO knowledgeable. Good luck! I have heard good things about Dr Reeder but don't have any experience with him.
- Dr. Reeder is wonderful! He is very mellow, and not an alarmist! My daughter was a preemie and needed extra attention when a were finally able to bring her home and he gladly gave her extra attention! He really helped give me confidence in trusting my gut. I have had to see a few other pediatricians and while all were very nice, they all just seemed a bit rushed, I have never felt that way with Dr Reeder, also love that he is very conservative with medication!

- I love Dr. Curtis n Dr. Warner at Miners
